James Welch and Thomas Jones, both of St Saviour, Southwark, found guilty on an indictment for the murder Sarah Green, widow in the parish of St Mary Newington.  Welch was charged that on 23rd July he assaulted Sarah Green thrusting his hand into her private parts, wounding and lacerating her insides so that she died of the wounds on 19th September.  Jones was charged with aiding and abetting him
